This classic antique side table from Tieli, China is easily identified by its humpback stretchers which are said to resemble a bridge. Painted dark brown, the table is made from elm wood. Often these smaller side tables were used as step-ups to a bed. These days they are valued additions to a living space as end tables to a sofa or used for the display of collectibles in a niche, hallway or bedroom.
